PyeongChang 2018: Good Day for ParalympicGB’s Curlers

Our GB curling team brightened our Monday morning by kicking off the day with a 6-1 win over Sweden. Team Neilson held their own in a game that was won in just seven ends.

Up next was their fifth match of the Games as they prepared to take on the reigning champions Canada. Canada have won the curling gold at every Paralympic Games since the sport was introduced in 2006, so no pressure for our GB team!

In a fantastic show of dominance Aileen Neilson, the team’s skip, led them to an incredible 8-1 win over the most highly decorated Paralympic curling nation in the world! Not bad for a days work.

Next they take on Slovakia, which will be shown live on Channel 4 at 5.35am tomorrow (Tuesday 13th March). Better set your alarms.
