Hurricane Hannah Cockroft has been announced as part of this year’s glittering Anniversary Games line up where she’ll defend her four-time crown.

The Games on 21-22 July will return to the iconic London Stadium for its fifth outing and will put on at least four para events in its showstopping schedule.

The ten-time world champion, who feels very much at home in the site of her 2012 breakout performances that launched her onto the mainstream stage, will line up in the T38 100m against fellow Brit Kare Adenegan, one year after she set a new world record of 17.18 seconds in the event at London 2017.

“I’m honestly so excited to be racing at the Müller Anniversary Games for a fifth time this summer – the event is always amazing and is one I’ve been a part of year on year since London 2012, but every time I get the chance to compete again is just as exciting as the first,” Cockroft told British Athletics.

The London Stadium has such a special place in my heart and is where I made the connection with the British crowd that has only got stronger over time.

“I’ve just had a good spell of competition over in Switzerland, but that was without my main competition being present.  They will be at the Muller Anniversary Games so I know that the challenge will make for a very exciting race.”

Para events confirmed for the Anniversary Games:

Saturday 21 July – T61 Men’s 200m and T11 Women’s 200m

Sunday 22 July – T34 Women’s 100m and T37/38 Women’s 200
